9TH PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE (PSL)

The extremely awaited ninth edition of Pakistan's premier T20 tournament, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is approaching, promising exciting action as the six PSL franchises compete for the prestigious title of PSL champions. Commencing on February 17, 2024, at the PCB's headquarters in Lahore, the tournament will kick off with a thrilling clash between two-time winners and defending champions Lahore Qalandars and the resilient Islamabad United, champions of 2016 and 2018. Spanning across four vibrant cities of Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi – PSL 9 promises a mind-blowing show for cricket fans. The final tournament, the grand finale will commence at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. Throughout the duration of the 34 matches of PSL 9, Karachi will serve as the host for 11 matches. Meanwhile, Lahore's iconic Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi's historic Pindi Cricket Stadium will each witness nine thrilling matches. THE PSL 9 TROPHY

On February 13, 2024, in the Lahore's Polo Ground at the Race Course Park, the prestigious PSL 9 trophy was unveiled, named as "The Orion Trophy." Orion is a famous group of stars in the sky, is like a large signboard for astronomers. You can spot it easily because it looks like three bright stars in a row, which we call Orion's Belt. It's so famous that people all around the world can see it, no matter where they live. The special trophy for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, called "The Orion Trophy," is made from shiny silver and covered in bright white gold. It looks really fancy. Each tiny detail on the trophy is carefully covered in white gold to make it look even more special. It took more than 900 hours to make this trophy, with 18,000 little stones carefully placed by hand. This trophy is a real work of art, showing how much effort and skill went into making it.

As we all eagerly look forward to a month-long tournament and celebration of cricket, we are also excited to see which team will emerge victorious and take home the prestigious "Orion Trophy".

Tickets for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 are now available for purchase. You can book your tickets online at pcb.tcs.com.pk . For PSL season 9, physical tickets are a must-have for all tournament matches. Please note that individuals with e-tickets (self-printed/digital copies) will not be granted entry to any of the matches. From February 12, 2024, physical tickets are also be available for purchase at 100 designated TCS Express Centers across Pakistan. Additionally, if you've booked your tickets online, you can conveniently collect them from TCS designated pick-up centers or opt for home delivery by TCS. Mark your calendars for the grand opening ceremony and the first match of the ninth edition of PSL, set to kick off on February 17 at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
