The most notable however is hip hop fashion, the factor that initiated the prep movement and let it be the new-fresh-preppy as we know it.

The preppy style has a number of names; Prepster style, American collegiate style, College style, Collegiate Style, Hipster Style, Italian Style, Sprezza, Sprezzatura Style, and Street Style.
Over time, the preppy style has developed its own nuances. Every individual tends to find his own definition of this style, and it can be a specific brand or a specific detail. You can stick to basics, neutral colors, and sporty staples, and simply mix and match textures and prints to create a preppy look.
